Overview
Ancient city of varanasi has been radiating the light of knowledge, science, and spirituality for centuries. On July 17, 1962, teaching commenced under a Reetha tree on Guru Purnima day with two children, thereby marking the birth of Gopi Radha Balika Inter College.
The vision to erect magnificent structures begins with the collective aspirations of many, driven by unparalleled determination, hard work, and a shared vision and perspective. The establishment and essence of this school are credited to Shrimati Satyavati Devi and her nephew, Shri Uday Saroj Sah Ji.
The Balika Shiksha Vikas Parishad was established in October 1962. With relentless efforts of Shri Nath Sah Ji, Shri Uday Saroj Sah Ji, Shri Lakshmi Narayan Poddar, Shrimati Manorama Agrawal Ji, Shrimati Leela Sharma Ji, and various collaborators, the present structure emerged. Initially, classes were opened up to the 5th grade, and in 1964, classes 6 to 8 were introduced.
The Junior High School obtained official recognition from the government. In 1969, due to the strenuous efforts of Shri Uday Saroj Sah Ji, the school received recognition at the High School level for the Arts stream. In 1974, recognition was granted for the Science stream, followed by recognition for the Humanities stream and Commerce stream.
Over time, this school has continuously evolved with its emphasis on high-quality education, sports, moral and spiritual education, cultural programs, NCC, Red Cross, music, drama, dance, and the promotion of advanced learning.
